Privacy Policy

1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Studio SD6 is the sole director. For any question, access or correction request, or complaint, email contact@sd6tools.net. We respond within 30 days.

2. Values you enter in the tools

Amounts, rates, text and other values you type into our calculators, converters and generators are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our servers and we have no access to them.

Some tools save your scenarios and preferences (language, theme, currency, cookie choice) in your browser’s local storage so they are available on your next visit. This data stays on your device; you can delete it at any time by clearing the site’s browsing data.

3. Information collected automatically

No account is required and we never ask for your name, address or phone number to use the tools. We use three audience-measurement services:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): pages viewed, tools used (for example the “tool_calculate” event, which only contains the tool name and language, never the values you enter), traffic source, device and browser type, approximate location (city or region). If you decline measurement cookies, Google Analytics runs in consent mode: no cookies are set and only cookieless signals without identifiers may be sent.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): loaded only if you accept measurement cookies. Clarity records pseudonymous page interactions (scrolling, clicks, heatmaps, session replays) to help us find usability problems. Input fields are masked by default.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.): aggregated page-view and page-performance metrics (page viewed, referring site, browser and device type, country, load times). It uses no cookies or browser storage and does not track you across websites, so it runs regardless of your choice in the cookie banner. According to Cloudflare, the IP address received during transmission is discarded at the nearest data center and not stored. The small calculators embedded on other websites (/embed/ pages) do not use this service. You can block the static.cloudflareinsights.com script with a content blocker.
• Our host (Cloudflare) technically processes the IP addresses and connection logs needed to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

4. Cookies and consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, decline or customize cookies. Measurement cookies are only set with your consent (Google Consent Mode v2). You can change your choice at any time on the Cookie settings page.

Essential cookies remember your preferences and consent choice and do not identify you. Measurement cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, with consent. The cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics measurement described in section 3 sets no cookies and is therefore not covered by this choice. Advertising cookies: not used at this time; if they ever are, they will only be set with your consent and this policy will be updated.

5. Purposes

• Understand which pages and tools are useful so we can improve them;
• Detect errors and display problems;
• Measure the performance of our content and, where applicable, affiliate links (“affiliate_click” event);
• Keep the site secure and working properly.

6. Sharing and transfers outside Quebec

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information collected by Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Web Analytics, whose data is processed at the nearest Cloudflare data center, which may be in another country) may be processed outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States. We select providers that offer contractual data-protection commitments and recognized security measures. Data processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the country where it is located.

7. Retention

Google Analytics data is kept for the period configured in the service (at most 14 months for detailed data). Microsoft Clarity data is kept according to Microsoft’s rules (about 30 days for session recordings). Cloudflare Web Analytics aggregated statistics are kept according to Cloudflare’s rules and contain no IP address. Local-storage data stays on your device until you delete it.

8. Your rights

You may request access to your personal information, its correction, withdraw your consent or ask that its dissemination cease, and file a complaint. Email contact@sd6tools.net. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

You can also block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

9. Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the affected persons as required by law, and keep a register of incidents.

10. Minors

The site is intended for the general public and does not knowingly collect information about children under 14.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
